Buy Your Own Aviation Model RC Plane

Buy Your Own Aviation Model RC Plane

Rc Helicopter

In the early years of aviation after the golden age of air ship, more precisely after Charles Lindbergh's solo flight across the Atlantic in 1927, airplanes with radial engines ruled the skies. The 30s and 40s decade saw many classic flying machines built primarily for the military. Those days' pilots wore scarves, goggles, boots and leather helmets. Amelia Mary Earhart created history flying solo across the Atlantic Ocean in 1932. Amelia Earhart disappeared into history in the year 1937 attempting to circumnavigate the globe.

People are still fascinated by the life, career and the airplanes of early aviators. The real nostalgia buffs still prefer to have RC models of classic airplanes of yesteryears. An RC model airplane is a miniature of the original airplane that once flew. They are built using the same principles of aerodynamics as the original planes.

Classic RC model airplanes look exactly like their originals. They are colored just like the original and have the same logos and symbols as the original ones. These planes are either electric or gas powered. Electrically powered classic RC airplanes use high performance batteries which need frequent recharging.

The fuel powered or gas powered classic RC airplanes have a glow plug engine and the fuel used is gasoline, methanol, or nitromethane. They are also referred as nitro RC model airplanes.

RC model airplane enthusiasts who prefer the classic models can purchase kits that are widely available and build their own classic model. The kits are available as ARTF (almost ready to fly) or RTF (ready to fly). But the real hobbyists prefer to assemble their own classic RC airplanes. A little knowledge of aeronautics and airplanes will help but if you don't have it, you can buy scale RC airplane plans or RC airplane kits and assemble it.

In the early 1930s, model flying was very different from what it is today. In those days the planes were self propelled by rubber bands but as technology progressed it was possible to make small internal combustion engines for model airplanes. Today vintage RC airplanes have the same classic appearance but they sport the modern glow plug engine and an advanced radio gear.

Traditional classic model RC airplanes were powered by diesel engines, there are still some manufacturers making them. You may buy a kit or build a classic RC airplane from scratch using plans. The classic RC airplanes are large scale models of original planes and balsa wood is used in their construction.

These planes are large and hence fly slowly and gently. These planes will typically have a 4stroke glow plug engine and a 3 channel radio. Ben Buckle, a British company is a much respected manufacturer of classic RC airplanes. You may choose from a number of designs which are available such as 'Majestic Major', 'Buccaneer' or the 'Flying Quaker'.

If you prefer the electric powered airplanes then the 'Aerobatic Classic Bi-Plane Electric RC Plane' is recommended. It's a ready to fly model and you can get started once you remove the model from the box. The Bi-Plane design is very stable, the plane performs awesome loops, rolls, upside down flights and many other stunts. It can take off from any smooth surface. The package includes charger, rechargeable batteries, and radio transmitter. This classic RC model airplane appeals to both the novice and veteran.

Drifting RC Cars

Drifting RC Cars

Rc Helicopter

I assume that you have got your RC car setup to drift, if not check out the website at the end for modifying your RC car to drift.

RC Drifting and drifting in general follows the same line as if you were racing, at least one set of tires follows this line. This is the ideal drifting line, although its okay to go wide. So on an entry into a corner you would have your front wheels as close the the apex as possible, while having your rear wheels follow a much wider line (the wider the better). This means that your car is facing apex of the corner, depending on what kind of corner this is it could be as much as 90 degrees to the apex, any more and technically your going backwards, this is called a washout. On the exit you would let your rear sliding towards the opposite side, possibly setting up your next drift.

So from a drivers point of view, albeit via remote control, what you need to do it.

1. Approach the corner as if you were following a racing live, leave enough room for the rear of the car to come out.

2. Turn into the corner very early and maybe dab the break to help break the rear traction.

3. as the rear starts to slide, squeeze the throttle and turn into the slide (this part takes a lot of practise)

4. Once the drift has started you should be able to keep the steering centered and use the throttle to invoke over or under steer, you will still need to use the steering to keep your angle perfect and also you need throttle to control your speed, in which case steering is necessary to control the rotation of your car.

5. If you can drift a course by just invoking a drift then steering with your throttle this makes for an incredibly smooth drift, if you can couple this with a few passes with your nose and tail a hairs breadth from the curb, then you got it.

6. It's considered by most that you should be counter-steering through the corners, i.e. your front wheels should be steering into the drift at all times, while this is true for D1 drifting, with RC it is a little different, for one we are 99% four wheel drive, and secondly the weight distribution is almost always in the middle or back of the chassis, which means when the car slides the inertial pulls the heavy rear around automatically.

The transition is the most difficult part, it depends a lot on your car, but a good place to start is by understanding weight transfer.

When you brake the weight transfers forward, when you floor it, it goes backwards and when you turn it goes to the opposite side, turn left, weight goes right. To transition smoothly from one drift to another you have to shift the weight of the car to get it to do what your want, your can't steer it, that's called racing ;)

Okay so we are in mid drift and clip the apex while holding a huge angle, we exit the right turn, turn slightly to the right and floor it to keep the drift going, over rotating slightly to induce a good angle on the exit. You now need to turn into the drift (turn left) very slightly and hold the angle, the car should move straight down the track, with a big drift angle, while slowly making for the right side of the track (we have a left turn coming up). About 2-3 car lengths before the next corner back off the throttle ( now the weight transfers to the front, pushing the front tires into the asphalt and lifting the rear slightly, this give good grip on the front and makes the rear slide like mad ) Turn to the left, the rear will respond by swinging around, as it's doing this turn into the drift and give throttle. The four wheel drive will stop the rotation as the weight transfers to the back tires and they get more grip. Hold the drift, adjusting it with throttle and steering until the next corner. Rinse,Repeat.

Drifting isn't easy, it helps to know the track, some surfaces will have a different effect on you when you slide sideways over them, it pays to learn where these are. If you find there is a section you 180 on, go see if there isn't a slight change of gradient or a small defect in the road. Often during competitions there will be a section of the track that a lot of people struggle with.

Banana Hobbies - How to Choose the Best RC Helicopter for You

Banana Hobbies - How to Choose the Best RC Helicopter for You

Rc Helicopter

People who are new to Banana Hobbies RC helicopters often face the dilemma of selecting the most suitable model for them. With so many designs and brands to choose from, it can really be a hobbyist's nightmare-but luckily there are three main factors that will help you determine which product is right for you. Read the information provided below so you can finally pick the model chopper that fits your needs.

3 Factors to Consider When Choosing Your RC Helicopter

1. Budget. First of all, you have to know how much you're willing to spend on your new toy gadget. There is one main thing that affects the price of a chopper, and that is its power source. RC helicopters come in either electric or fuel-powered models-the former uses batteries and is therefore more affordable, while the latter uses nitro, petrol, gas turbine and other fuel types that makes it a lot more expensive. A typical electric model can go as low as 0 and reach to ,500 while fuel-powered types cost from ,000 to ,000.

Electric RC choppers are common among hobbyists because it's less stressful on the budget, but there are still enthusiasts who prefer fuel-powered models because of the longer flight duration and stronger engines. However, you can never really tell which type is superior to the other because it all depends on the user's preference and purpose. But remember that it's always better to go with a fairly expensive model that you know is made of high quality rather than settle for a cheaper brand that doesn't really meet your standards. So whether you choose an electric or fuel helicopter, be sure to check the quality and performance so you will always get your money's worth.

2. Purpose. Your main objective also plays an essential part in your buying decision. Ask yourself what you're going to use your model chopper for: is it for recreational purposes, are you going to start a collection, or are you planning to join flying competitions?

If it's only for fun and recreation, then a fairly-priced but quality item should do. For a model helicopter collection, you will need more stylish models that you can proudly display in your home. For flying purposes, however, you will definitely need a stronger and more proficient design so you can compete with the other chopper models in the contest. Ask a fellow hobbyist or a Banana Hobbies professional to give you some credible advice on how to choose a capable chopper.

3. Preferences. Finally, you should know the features you want for your mini helicopter so you can find the one that really works for you. Some of the basic specifications you need to decide on are the following:

Brand: choose from reputable small helicopter manufacturers such as Art-Tech, BlitzRCWorks, Colco, ESky, HeliPro, Nine Eagles, Walkera and many more.

Power source: choose from electric or fuel-powered types.

Size: sub-micro (<100g <20cm rotor diameter, extremely small and suitable for indoor flying), micro (small models that are often 350-sized), miniature (400 to 450-sized pitch helicopters), small (500-sized electric helicopters with tiny nitro engines), normal (30 and 50-sized nitro or 600-sized electric), large (60 and 90-sized nitro or 700-sized electric), and beyond.

Once you have determined exactly what specifics you want, then it will be easier for you to choose your very own Banana Hobbies helicopter. Just make sure you consider all the three factors mentioned above so you won't have a hard time deciding which model to purchase. Again, don't hesitate to call customer service or ask a friend who's into RC choppers if you encounter any problems.

How to Master Radio Controlled Helicopters Autorotation Landings

How to Master Radio Controlled Helicopters Autorotation Landings

Rc Helicopter

The auto circling is one of the best interesting, and arduous assignment that an RC helicopter can perform. Autorotation is the accompaniment of flight area the RC helicopters rotors circuit freely, after ascribe from the engine. This agency that the rotors alone accept 2 activity sources: their own drive and the advancement motion of air over the blades, acquired by the helicopters descent. In an autorotation landing, the pilot needs to administer the coast acceleration of the rc helicopter, so that abundant activity is larboard in the blades to abate the landing acceleration to a safe amount. This account shows the aberration amid powered and autorotation RC helicopter flight.

Not alone are autorotations a army adorable maneuver, they are of basic accent during an accessories failure. If the agent of the RC helicopter stops for any reason, afresh auto circling flight begins immediately. It will be up to the pilot to handle the bearings appropriately an acreage the RC helicopter safely.

Fortunately, there is a way to convenance autorotations safely, after boundless accident to the RC helicopter. Begin by ambience the burke authority position to about 30 percent, or aloof abundant such that the RC helicopter will almost hover. Mark the burke authority about-face by agreement a allotment of ammunition tubing over it. This will let you acquisition it quickly, by giving it a altered feel than the added switches.

You can adept the autorotation by afterward this procedure:

Learn to ascendancy the coast - The aboriginal footfall is to apprentice how to fly a controlled coast beneath low power. Take off, and afresh alpha by axis the RC helicopter so that it faces into the wind. Afresh abate your burke and aggregate angle so that the RC helicopter descends gradually. Accumulate the adenoids acicular beeline ahead, and accumulate the RC helicopter level. After you accept descended to about 20 feet, access ability and akin off. Abide these convenance runs until you become actual confident.

Now try it with low ability - After you become adequate with descents at accustomed burke settings, you are accessible to try them with the burke reduced. This will acquiesce you apprentice to autorotate, while acceptance you to bond out if the bearings becomes dangerous. Convenance footfall one again, but this time do it with the burke authority engaged. You will appetite the RC helicopter to be actual aerial back aggravating this for the aboriginal time. Like before, accept the RC helicopters adenoids pointing into the wind. Engage the burke hold, and use the aggregate to ascendancy the coast rate. Aloof like in footfall one, access the burke and akin out at about 20 anxiety aloft the ground. Repeat this until you are adequate with descents at low power, and afresh attack a controlled landing. Landings at low ability absorb the afterward steps:

Entry - This occurs back you abate power, and alpha to descend.

Descent - Coast should be almost rapid, so that added activity is larboard in the rotor blades for landing.

Flare - As you abreast the ground, cull the adenoids of the helicopter up and use the aggregate to abate coast speed.

Landing - Use the aftermost of the rotors drive to apathetic your final coast to a safe amount, and acreage the RC helicopter.

It is actual important that you let the RC helicopter alight almost rapidly at aboriginal - you will charge the added rotor acceleration to acreage safely.

Reduce burke ability - After arrive a controlled coast and landing at 30 percent throttle, abide practicing at lower and lower burke settings. Eventually, you should be able to assassinate a able landing with the agent at idle.

Congratulations! You mastered autorotation landings.

RC Helicopter Blades - Should You Trust the Reviews?

RC Helicopter Blades - Should You Trust the Reviews?

Rc Helicopter

As a globally recognized radio controlled helicopter pilot with dozens of medals and rewards, I know a thing or two concerning blades on RC helicopters, and the issues that they can occasionally cause. There's a guy who left a high-quality evaluation for a company that didn't know enough about to write an educated assessment, there are additionally stories about individuals who left bad reviews when actually the product was quite useful, and subsequently they were by no means asked to create a review for another business again, and this small error cost them thousands as well.

But the moral of the short article is, constantly make 100% sure that your evaluation are well examined and that you do not place your name on everything unless you sincerely trust that it is a high quality product, even then at the same moment, it's extremely easy to merely write badly about anything, but you must also dodge that if you ever would like to be certified for any more reviews again. When it comes to rc helicopter blades, I was extremely fortunate to be a part of a detailed rc helicopter blade testing lesson, so I could envision what are crucial things to check whilst you're looking into buying another rc helicopter for your large or small collection, and especially once you're getting prepared to pay for your very first radio controlled helicopter.

Fundamentally, the blades are ultra important. They must be able to take a lot of damage, just in case you are not a very skilled flyer, for the reason that it is the blades that will sometimes run into objects and become broken. At the same instant, you do not wish for the blades to be too sharp, for the reason that you do not want them to break any of your other things, especially if you are flying the RC helicopter in your house (which I attempt to discourage in every circumstances, but Everyone does it). All together, you're best off going with a helicopter that has strong metal or plastic blades-although the plastic blades tend to be lighter, so they are sometimes the better bet, but the metal blades tend to be more durable, so it's really anyone's guess. And you moreover want to look for blades that are rounded at the ends. This is not only useful because rounded ends are more sleek, it is also great for the reason that you can guard your body and your family from wounding themselves on the radio controlled helicopter blades while they are, for example, landing a helicopter down from the sky.

There's a good friend of mine who had a helicopter on top of her bed, and she did not have any idea to get rounded blades, and once she reached to grab it down, she instantly dropped it, and in fact cut her hands very seriously. She did not need stitches, but it was still a very scary occurrence for her that she might have easily avoided by just buying a RC helicopter with rounded ends on the wings. In some other situations, I hear about some people that purchased metal blades on their rc helicopters, and the remnants of the helicopter was not built strongly enough to hold up the heavy metal blades, and these rc helicopters by no means fly properly.

Helicopters for Sale

Helicopters for Sale

Rc Helicopter

Helicopters are expensive; therefore, it is important for organizations to make a decision only after reviewing the product thoroughly. Many helicopter sales companies offer a complete range of helicopter brokerage services to assist a client in either selling or purchasing a business helicopter. However, when choosing a helicopter brokerage agent, one must conduct a through check of the company's sales and marketing team, and choose a company that has vast experience in the global aircraft sales and acquisition arena.

Most helicopter sales companies not only offer a wide selection of new and used helicopters but also provide custom completions services, new products, maintenance, helicopter refurbishment and overhaul/repair services. Companies like Edwards & Associates, Inc., HAS Corporation and Wings Online also conduct helicopter refurbishment and new aircraft completions utilizing factory-trained technicians and specialists. These companies also provide additional support through their specialized personnel in maintenance, overhaul/repair, avionics, painting and interior refurbishment, together with overall customer support. Some of the helicopter sales companies maintain an inventory of quality new and pre-owned aircraft, which help a customer evaluate his needs and buy a helicopter that best suits his requirements.

While buying an aircraft, one should check that all services from sales, maintenance, avionics, STC certification, painting, and shipping are included in the deal. In addition, to gain maximum efficiency and a higher level of service, the agreement should include warranty provisions as per industry standards. Some helicopter sales companies also have the provision to access the value of a helicopter, and people who wish to sell their aircraft can even list their products on websites.

Buying or selling an aircraft can be tiresome, but companies offering quality workmanship and service can easily provide professional efficiency that can benefit customers.

Facts About Single-Rotor RC Helicopters

Facts About Single-Rotor RC Helicopters

Rc Helicopter

A single-rotor R/C helicopter consists of a main and tail rotor. The 2 rotors work together to control the stability and maneuverability of the helicopter. Many pilots who are proficient in flying a dual-rotor or coaxial rotor R/C helicopters find single-rotor models a little different. Beginners are not recommended to start with a single-rotor model because of its complexities. The pilot must have a complete understanding of important aspects such as applying throttle to the main rotor, maneuvering of the tail rotor, setting variable pitch to the blades and many more.

A flight simulator is highly suggested before diving into your first single-rotor helicopter adventure. It will give you the feel of an actual single-rotor experience without the hassles and troubles of crashing. That will definitely save you some money and time! Other training apparatus and crash kits can also aid you during your first few flights. A training gear is a set of equipment and supplies that is hitched up onto the landing skid to avoid severe damage. These are similar to carbon rods with orange ping pong balls mounted on ends. Crash kits are basically spare parts readily available in case of a crash or any other smash up.

Major parts and components: An R/C helicopter with a single-rotor generally has either a belt-driven or motor-driven rotor tail. A belt drive gives superior control though an electric motor is less expensive. The tail rotor has the responsibility of preventing the body from rotating against the directions of the main rotor blades. Basic models of single-rotor R/C helicopters have main rotor blades that do not change angle. This is referred to as Fixed Pitch (FP). On the on other hand, advanced types have the Collective Pitch (CP). Helicopters with FP cost much lower but slower than CP helis.

Cheap ready-to-fly (RTF) single-rotor helicopters come with 'brushed motors'. More sophisticated types have 'brushless motors'. This type requires a specific electronic speed controller (ESC) that increases the power and flight time significantly. Rotor heads and tail assemblies are usually made of either plastic computer numerical controlled (CNC) machined aluminum. Most professional aerobatic pilots prefer the CNC type because it results to smoother and more predictable flights if configured properly. It also enhances the helicopter's appearance even if it adds to some weight and cost. Other electronic components that may vary are the following: gyros, radios, servos, and speed controllers.

There is a website that has great information on RC Helicopters, the website is called: RC Helicopters World, and can be found at this url:

Scale Model Helicopters - A Great Hobby

Scale Model Helicopters - A Great Hobby

Rc Helicopter

Assembling and flying scale model helicopters is an incredible hobby. It offers a rare combination of characteristics that make it fun and interesting for its adherents. Let's examine why scale model helicopters capture the imagination--and occupy the time--of thousands of hobbyists.

First, they offer an opportunity to utilize one's attention to detail and modeling skills. Most hobbyists purchase kits and personally assemble their scale model helicopters. After putting their highly detailed helicopters together, they carefully add details and paint them to the point of hyper realism. Many people enjoy the construction and painting process a great deal and derive a tremendous sense of satisfaction when they've completed their helicopters.

Second, building the helicopters is only the beginning. Once they're put together, their owners can actually fly them! RC scale model helicopters take flight with either electric or gas-powered motors. Many of the models fly in a manner that accurately mimics the "real thing". In fact, many movies have actually used footage of RC controlled models to stand in for real helicopters.

Third, hobbyists quickly discover that an interest in scale model helicopters immediately makes them members in a tight knit community. Modelers often meet to discuss the hobby or to come together to fly their RC helicopters. It's a hobby with a great social component that many people appreciate as much as the helicopters themselves.

Fourth, building and flying scale helicopters is a perfect pastime for those with a strong interest in military or aeronautical history. Helicopters have a fascinating history and have played a key part in many significant events. It's hard to imagine a better way to experience history than by building and using a small piece of it yourself!

Fifth, scale model helicopters continue to present challenges. This isn't a hobby one can master in a matter of days, weeks or even months. Kits and assembly can be as complicated as one would like and the intricacies and optimizations of RC helicopter motors are infinite. Unlike some pastimes, these helicopters continue to provide interesting new challenges and opportunities.

You've probably seen scale model helicopters in a store. You may have even seen one in flight. While they're hardly unknown, most people don't think of them as a potential hobby. That might be a mistake. As we've outlined, there are a number of reasons why this can be a wonderful pastime.

Building and flying model choppers is great for those who love detail work. It provides a fun opportunity to take one's creation to the skies. It gives people access to a great social network, is fascinating for history buffs and is the kind of hobby that can maintain one's interest for a lifetime.

RC Helicopter Review

RC Helicopter Review

Rc Helicopter

In this RC helicopter review, we're going to look at the main features of RC helicopters, and just how far the market has come along over the last decade. Since the launch of RC helicopters on to the mainstreams, the ongoing drive for innovation and new product developments has meant that these helicopter models have come on leaps and bounds over the period, and as a result now represent a much more fulfilling flying experience. Whether you're a novice with no interest beyond the pure and simple fun of having a go, or you're much more serious about your hobby, taking on board these vital elements of the RC helicopter review will allow you to decide how best to go forward with your helicopter purchase.

What should you look for when buying your helicopter? What are the best options available on the market? What do you need to do to refine your search to only the best value for money products? Let's get stuck in to answering these questions.

What Should You Bear In Mind?

RC helicopters were not all created equal, and in this RC helicopter review, we're happy to lay it out like it really is. Unfortunately, too many product reviews online are clouded with bias and are anything but independent. That's why it can often be difficult to know what you need to lock for, and what factors make a helicopter a worthwhile purchase. The things you need to bear in mind are the difference between various different models. Are you looking for indoor or outdoor flying? Are you looking for a quiet, electric-powered helicopter, or would you prefer a more robust but noisy motorized product? You need to bear in mind that different helicopters fly differently and provide different functions and features that may make them more or less suitable for your needs.

Channels?

Then there's the question of channels. Channels are essentially what dictates the range of dimensions in which your helicopter can move. Two-channel models are much more limited, and as a result tend to be favored by kids or new helicopter fans. For more advanced fliers, this RC helicopter review recommends 4 or 6 channel helicopters. These may be in practice more difficult to fly, and more difficult to develop control familiarity, but for the helicopter fan who wants the full scope of movement and the most realistic flying experience open to him, the more channels available the better. Remember also that you'll pay more for more advanced technology, so expect to push your budget if you're looking to buy anything more serious.

Budget

The dreaded B-word. When it comes to buying, none of us like it, but we need to think about budget and ensuring we're getting great value for money. A crucial step in that process is buying only what you need - both in terms of functionality and quality. Buying something that is a souped-up rocket isn't going to do your wallet any favors, so don't expect to be loading up on cheap rate, quality products. You most definitely get what you pay for, so make sure you know what you want and intend to buy before settling on the most persuasive RC helicopter review for you.

In a nutshell, this RC helicopter review highlights the difficulties of choosing a helicopter if you don't know the market. Provided you shop with at least some care and attention, you should be able to get yourself to the stage where you're ready to buy the most suitable product for your needs, at a price range that won't break the bank.

Radio Controlled Helicopters

Radio Controlled Helicopters

Rc Helicopter

Nobody is truly complete unless they have a hobby they are passionate about. Having a hobby will give you something to spend your time on, and something to enjoy when you have free time. If you are trying to find what hobby you can stick with, you should think about experimenting with radio controlled hobbies. You can build models of almost any vehicle, from boats to cars to planes to helicopters.

Many hobbyists will get their start with Radio Controlled helicopters. Helicopters are very complicated, but using the right kits you can get started without a problem. Once you fly your helicopter, you will feel that the entire experience was very rewarding. Flying the helicopter is a blast.

The most important part of flying Radio Controlled helicopters is to be proficient in controlling it. You should understand exactly how to fly the helicopter, otherwise you run the risk of crashing it and ruining your entire investment, which is never good. Borrow a flight manual from someone who you know has a radio controlled helicopter.

Take that chance to read through it and find out about all of the different terms, and the many knobs and levers that are required to maneuver the craft through the air. After you have read through it, take someone's Radio Controlled helicopter out for a test flight to see if you have what it takes to control one of your own. If you crash it, be prepared to pay up!

After you have decided that you will be able to handle a helicopter, and that you even want a Radio Controlled helicopter, you can start looking for your own kit. You can buy Radio Controlled helicopters that come completely assembled and ready to fly right out of the box.

However, there is not much fun in this, and they will probably only allow for a few hours of entertainment. The real fun comes when you buy one of the Radio Controlled Helicopters that has to be constructed from hundreds of small plastic pieces. It may be frustrating while you are in the middle of the process, but at the end when you have a great looking helicopter that flies smoothly, you will be glad you spent the time.

Your Radio Controlled helicopters building experience does not have to be limited to the simple kits. There are many different options for extremely advanced helicopters that have different shapes and features. You can find these in specialty shops all over the internet, and even in some brick-and-mortar locations. You should not buy a helicopter just because it looks interesting.

Do research before you commit to building a particular one, so that you can find out what all it has to offer. You can find reviews and customer experiences all over the internet, on many different commerce sites. Find out about how well it flies, how easy it is to maneuver, the ease of assembly, and anything else that may matter.

So once you get everything built, what are you going to do with your radio controlled helicopter? It seems pretty boring to just take it out for a flight every weekend. If you're really passionate about it, you should look for ways that you can interact with others who are equally interested.

This can be in the form of clubs where you just go flying every month or two, or large conventions with hundreds of remote control enthusiasts crowded in, talking and exchanging ideas. Getting involved like this will give you a chance not only to have an outlet for your passion, but also to find out more about it and become better at building and flying Radio Controlled helicopters.

If the thought of flying Radio Controlled helicopters seems at all exciting to you, then look into getting a kit today. It is a great feeling to discover a new hobby that you are good at and enthusiastic about, so don't hold yourself back if you think it could be a positive addition to your life.

It was very small, it was very easy to fly, and it was durable. The similar mCX S300 was next. Recently we have seen the Tandem Rescue twin rotor co-axial helicopter. It was just as easy to fly as the original. This series of helicopters has introduced more people to heli flight than any other and even the experts are having fun with them. Now we have the mCX2, with new styling but the same flying characteristics. This new one is going to follow the tradition set using this intriguing technology—same size, same performance—but in an all-new package! The new full body gives it the look of a much larger helicopter while retaining the attitude that we have all come to expect. You can fly this one in any indoor facility day or night. AH-64 Apache - The Army's Primary Attack Helicopter

AH-64 Apache - The Army's Primary Attack Helicopter

Rc Helicopter

The Boeing AH-64 Apache helicopter is known to be the primary's attack helicopter of the U.S. Army. The AH-64 is an airborne weapon system used by the army to fight, destroy and disrupt the enemies' forces at a closer range. This helicopter is specifically designed to fight and survive even the adverse kinds of weather worldwide during day time or night time. It is integrated with aircraft survivability equipment that has the ability to withstand hits from rounds up to 23mm in crucial areas. This helicopter is also air transportable in C-5, C-17 and C-141.

AH-64 has two engines and four blades with highly stable aerial weapons-delivery platform that is great for multi-mission attacks. It can load up to 16 HELLFIRE (Helicopter-Launched, Laser-guided, Fire and Forget) laser guided missiles. This helicopter can also carry a maximum of 76, 70mm/2.75" wrap-around fin aerial rockets (WAFAR) specifically for enemies' light armor vehicles and other soft skinned targets. Moreover, the Apache has four articulating weapons pylons, two on either side of the aircraft, on which weapons or external fuel tanks can be mounted. It also has a Laser Range Finder/Designator (LRF/D). This is used in assigning the HELLFIRE missile system as well as provides range to target information for the fire control computer's calculations of ballistic solutions.

Another great thing about the AH-64 Apache it has an onboard video recorder that can record up to 72 minutes of either the pilot or CPG selected video. Not only that, its navigation equipment has a doppler navigation system, and most aircraft are set with a GPS receiver.

With its many capabilities and unique features, undeniably, the Apache is the army's primary attack helicopter.

What Makes The Best Remote Control Helicopter?

What Makes The Best Remote Control Helicopter?

Rc Helicopter

What is the best remote control helicopter?

I've been very interested lately in a lot of different models of RC helicopter and as I've been doing my research trying to decide which one to buy next, I've come to realize just how many different types of RC choppers there are!

The first thing you need to decide is whether or not you want to buy an indoor chopper or an outdoor chopper. Now, an indoor chopper is strictly indoors and these can usually be had for around -40 dollars. Outdoor choppers will run you more money but they are usually larger and have better performance over all.

Keep in mind that with some outdoor choppers you won't be able to fly them inside at all. They are simply too big and require too much room to maneuver to make flying them in a typical room unpractical. There are however some models that sort of blur the line between indoor and outdoor like the Madhawk 300 which is big enough to perform outside (as long as it's not TOO windy) but small enough that you can practice indoors. Once you decide on an indoor or outdoor model than you consider these types before making a purchase:

Double Co-Axial Choppers

These are your basic indoor "toy" helicopters. They are easy to fly, easy to maintain and will generally provide a great deal of fun while cruising around your apartment. They aren't suited for outdoors as the slightest breeze will take them high into the air or smash them into the ground (usually causing a lot of damage!). They make a great conversation piece for your office and are perfect for wasting a bit of time!

Single Co-Axial Choppers

Basically the same as the above except some of these are large enough to fly outdoors. They are stable enough that pretty much anyone can get them to hover and move forward without much effort. Again these are beginner choppers.

Micro RC Choppers

These are the ones that you're probably most used to seeing these days. Normally they will fit in the palm of your hand and although the basic gear underneath is usually the same, they come in a variety of styles including Military and Commercial air craft. When they first appeared on the scene these choppers were really nothing more than cool looking toys that did not fly very well but with recent advancements in the technology these choppers are VERY flyable and are perfect for beginner-intermediate users looking for an easy to fly chopper to hone their skills on.

4 and 6 Channel Choppers

These are the more advanced choppers for people who are into modding and upgrading. Probably not a good first-time chopper as they are more expensive and more prone to damage in the event of a crash (and trust me, you will crash them!).

2.4 GHz Remote Systems

These days you should always try and go with a 2.4 GHz remote system. This refers to the frequency that the choppers controls operate on and 2.4 takes up less current than the older systems. Meaning you get more flying time for each charge and in the world of RC Helicopters, flying time is what it's all about!

The Best Chopper?

Well as you can see, it really depends on your level of skill and where you want to use it. But, from personal experience I would recommend: The Syma S107 for an Indoor Chopper and the Madhawk 300 for an indoor/outdoor chopper. Both are priced very reasonably and offer great quality for the money. Please check out my link below for more detailed reviews on both of those choppers as well as other great reviews on all sorts of RC helicopters and replacement parts!

Cheers!

RC Helicopter Simulators

RC Helicopter Simulators

Rc Helicopter

As with airplane simulators, RC helicopter flight simulators have come a long way. From weak graphics, they have evolved into programs you can immerse yourself in.

The remote control simulator software for helicopters is very similar to the airplane software, and in most cases is sold as a single package. In other cases, the helicopter simulations are sold as add on programs to the main software. The RC helicopter, like its real counterpart, is quite a bit different in its handling and flight characteristics from an RC airplane. If you are planning on flying RC helicopters, it is important to make sure that your selection is designed for them and not just for airplanes.

The basic difference in helicopter flight and airplane flight is in the taking off and landing. The helicopter does not need a runway, and its ability to move straight up and down as well as hover requires much less space for flight. This is one of the things that have made RC helicopters increasingly popular in the RC hobby field.

The top rated simulators for airplanes are also the best for helicopters. An example is the Great Planes RealFlight B3.5 simulator. This top of the line software program comes with an assortment of airplane and helicopter types. It also features a great many "add on" to increase the number and variety of models. Each add on gives you something like fourteen different planes and four or five new helicopter models from which to chose.

Some RC simulators are available online as downloads. One of the highest rated of this type is the Clearview RC Flight Simulator. Although you have to pay to download the software, this is a very advanced simulator. It is especially attractive to helicopter fans because although the program is for both planes and helicopters, it talks of its helicopter models first as if they are most proud of their variety there. The Clearview RC Simulator is designed to use a variety of controls. It is possible to control it via your keyboard. For advanced users, a handheld transmitter is used and attached to the PC with a USB cable.

The ability to simulate all types of conditions and flying areas and control the program with a transmitter similar to the actual one is the true advantage of RC simulation programs. It is a way to learn to fly your RC model in safety. It is the place to learn without risking your expensive models. There is a certain amount of risk involved in RC flight, but the trained operate can minimize this greatly.

RC Helicopter Guide

RC Helicopter Guide

Rc Helicopter

Radio controlled helicopters, or RC helicopters, are a type of model aircraft. These models come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and designs. Some are made to for speed while others are created for greater maneuverability. The aircraft is powered by small servo motor in the center and operated by a remote control and antenna device.

RC helicopters are popular flown by hobbyists for entertainment and recreation. Although they take some practice to master, they can eventually become very fun to fly. Aside from flying for fun, they are also use in remote inspection, filming, aerial photography, and even policing. Specialized aircrafts are usually quite expensive and can only be bought directly from the manufacturer.

Helicopters are more difficult to fly than planes because they require the user to control the balance and thrust at the same time. Just as a real-life pilot has to operate the yoke and pedals, and remote control pilot needs to use both controls simultaneously. Some helicopters are made easier to fly by automating some of the processes, but customers will still need to learn how to fly them.

A helicopter is a far more convenient aircraft to have around compared to a glider or a model jet. A glider requires constant wind to fly, so it is not conducive for areas that are windy. Model jets require a large amount of space for level flight, which is a luxury that some people do not have. Helicopters do not need any space for take-off and landing so they can be flown almost anywhere. Smaller version can even be flown indoors if you are careful not to hit the walls or ceiling.

The average model jet has a flight life of ten to fifteen minutes. RC helicopters are much slower, but they can last for well over half an hour. High speed helicopters are much faster, but their flight time is limited to the same as a model jet. Most engines are powered by a set of normal batteries that can be replaced at any supermarket. However, high end aircrafts may be powered by gasoline, diesel, or even nitrous oxide. Although these aircraft are very fast, they are fairly unpopular because of their premium cost. The most popular helicopters have lithium batteries that can last for thirty minutes. Once the battery life has been depleted, in can be recharged so the user does not have to buy new batteries each time.
